Press Operator/Skilled Labor

Description POSITION PURPOSE/FUNCTION:
Assist supervisor assuring quality metal and production being an extension of the supervisor.
Essential Functions:
Able to take direction and apply it independently.
Must be able to read prints and schedule in order to determine good production also understand allots and proper extrusion of each.
OTHER
Responsibilities:
Understand the press and keep it maintained spraying, waxing, soaping as needed to prevent downtime.
Teach the die header how to run the press and assist the supervisor with quality and smooth consistent production.

Position Requirements PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS:
Constant standing, ability to adapt to changing conditions and long hours.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Extreme heat, cold weather, loud noise and moving equipment.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have good leadership, be a people person and have good communication.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
High School Diploma.
Knowledge of basic aluminum extrusion operations.
Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing.
Wage determined by level of knowledge and experience.
